About

Stone Creation Studio was born from my passion for working with stone. What began as a hobby has grown into a thriving business, specializing in letter carving in British stone and slate.

As a formally trained graphic designer, I've spent the past decade transferring my design skills to the medium of stone and slate. Drawing and design are, after all, fundamental to creating unique carved pieces.

My creative background, combined with a sensitivity to the material, enables me to craft one-of-a-kind, hand-carved commissions that are both beautiful and meaningful.

Operating from my Cambridgeshire studio, I continue to embrace and refine the traditional craft techniques used to work with stone and slate.

I am proud that my work has been showcased across the East of England, including at Ely Cathedral and Snape Maltings in Suffolk.

“Fiona is truly deserving of this award. Her entry demonstrated a real passion for her craft. The Trust is founded on a tradition of nurturing talent and the Trustees were particularly impressed by Fiona’s commitment and proactive approach to on-going learning. We’ll continue to support Fiona as her career progresses and wish her continued success with her work.”
