I work predominantly in slate and limestone, both of which have distinct qualities and characteristics. Slate is perfect for fine lettering and detailed work. Limestone is very versatile and it works well for carvings and lettering. The hand drawn lettering is styled to work in harmony with the subject and to complement the material being used.

Stone Creation Studio was borne out of my passion for working with stone. What started out as a hobby is today a thriving stone and letter carving business.
I am a formally trained graphic designer and have transferred these skills over the past decade to work in stone and slate. Drawing and design are after all fundamental parts of the process to creating unique carved pieces of work. My creative experience combined with a sensitivity to the material enables me to produce individual and beautifully hand-carved commissions.
Working from my Cambridgeshire studio, I continue to appreciate and embrace the traditional skills used to work in stone and slate.
I am proud that my designs have been exhibited throughout the East of England, including at Ely Cathedral and Snape Maltings in Suffolk.
